Jimmy’s left palm was in line with Eric’s head, and the trajectory of the attack is obvious even to their audience which was composed of Emma. The first thing he did was shoot it after taking a few steps, yet, blocked by Eric’s shadow. After that, Eric also didn’t sit still, counterattacked by using his already raised shadow.
Unlike the other times he attacked by changing it to a spike, this time he chose to do something both different and also not quite so. When using a spike attack, its range also obviously gets narrowed, making it around as big as a kitchen knife, which sometimes could also be called an overgrown needle. Maybe that’s why, instead of doing that, he chose to lower the height of his shadow. Following that, right after he lowered that height, he raised the entire shadow like a big dark wave.
