About the Author

D.R. Meyers, also known as Carol Staff, is the mother of The Slain Woman, found in Pecos, New Mexico. The circumstances of Mrs. Staff’s daughters’ murder were far too important not to write about. With her family’s support, Mrs. Staff began writing about everything involving Amber’s case. The family’s mission is to shed light on the uncomfortable topic of drug addiction. The controversial shape of the judicial system, and the serious lack of victim services. Mrs. Staff is the author of September’s Child and several other books.
