I am just a poor duck farmer living in a small village in Serang, Banten. I dropped out of school and have never experienced true happiness in my life. Muspelheim: The Ugly Man is my first work, developed through numerous revisions. I was inspired by my personal experiences and the people around me to write this book, which critiques how humans often judge others based on their appearance rather than their heart and behavior.
I have experienced bullying since my school years and continue to face it to this day because my appearance does not align with the beauty standards created by society. This has taken a toll on my mental health, leaving me with feelings of inferiority that persist to this day. People around me look down on me for something I cannot change.
I hope this book serves as a reminder for us all to respect and value our differences. We live on the same earth and under the same sky; we should strive to understand and appreciate one another.
