About the Author

Lucy Anne and Evan have been good friends for years, ever since meeting at the horse races and discovering their mutual passion for all kinds of sports, both mainstream and eclectic. Together, they’ve enjoyed everything from Formula 1 and the Olympics to boating and bungee jumping.

As friends of the opposite gender, they’ve learned a lot about men’s and women’s differing perspectives on sports and relationships, especially because they both have teen daughters who have dated all kinds of sports nerds. Their desire to share their insights and advise their children sparked the Girlfriend’s Guide. Leaning on Lucy Anne’s (casual, not professional) experience coaching friends through relationship troubles and history as a high-level youth track-and-field athlete, as well as Evan’s expertise on the male mind and his wide interest in sports on TV, they began crafting a funny and sarcastic yet informative series.
