Thoreau the Meter by Joseph Ferguson

Take a taxi ride from the sublime to the ridiculous and back again. With stops at the streets, bars, strip clubs, colleges, movie theaters, mountains, parties, and bathrooms of Yonkers, Miami, New Orleans, and Chattanooga, this collection of short fiction surfs the waves of the existential, transcendental, intellectual, absurd, goofy, and idiotic stages of the human condition.

“… reads like Jack Kerouac’s free-spirited maverick characters of On the Road.” Mehreen Ahmed, Award-winning, internationally acclaimed author
